aug 01.packed train home this morning. ended up talking with a woman in her sixties for the whole ride... about nothing and everything, really. she was wonderfully enthusiastic about life. we're always so afraid of annoying strangers on public transport, but i believe most of these spontaneous chats leave us happier than before.

jul 08.crow friends joined me today while i ate by the river. real joy watching them interact with each other, and watch everyone passing by.

jul 28.cried for the forest today. it feels like nothing will change. this will be treated as another exceptional crisis, these wildfires, not as the new normal, same for the drought and the heatwaves... And when winter comes, everyone will have forgotten, much to our government's content.
